What's the only thing worse than sitting through a METRIC concert outside in freezing temperatures? Getting punched in the ballbag during the intermission performance.
As discussed earlier this morning on the FNX Breakfast show, some poor fan at the Heritage Classic up in Calgary over the weekend was rocking the eff out to "Help I'm Alive" when his buddy busted up his unprotected groin area.
METRIC headlined the indoor portion of the WFNX CLAMBAKE, meaning they didn't go on until somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 am. But as the videos show, nobody seemed to mind too much. More video, photos, and audio below.

Just before taking the stage at the House of Blues on Friday, METRIC ran over to the Hard Rock in Boston to perform a quick unplugged set for an intimate, fans-only unplugged set. The surprise of the bunch was an acoustic rendition of their version of the Strokes' "The End Has No End."

With their bassplayer off playing babydaddy, METRIC showed up to Best Music Poll as a guitar-and-piano duo -- not particularly great for dancing, but pretty awesome if you're into one-off loveliness you'll probably never see them do again.
