Photos and interview: Metric at Best Music Poll 2009

24 MORE PHOTOS: Metric performs at Best Music Poll 2009

With their bassplayer off playing babydaddy, METRIC showed up to Best Music Poll as a guitar-and-piano duo -- not particularly great for dancing, but pretty awesome if you're into one-off loveliness you'll probably never see them do again. Chatting with the WFNX guys, Emily Hanes deep-sixed rumors of beef between her and (her former roomates) the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. We'll have video of the group's performance later this week at the 2009 Best Music Poll Concert Museum; in the meantime, check out the interview, or stream their BMP set over at WFNX On-Demand. (And yes, it's waaaaay better sound quality than what you heard on the video stream.)

If you have video or photos of Metric's performance, you can upload them to the Best Music Poll Concert Museum via Flickr and YouTube. Here's a great one that came to us from the Boston Band Crush folks, of Metric performing Pink Floyd's "Nobody Home":
