San Francisco's GRASS WIDOW play tonight at Great Scott with Fat Creeps and Creaturos. Last week, I called singer/bassist Hanna Lew at the apartment she's currently subletting in Brooklyn. We talked about idioglossia versus cryptophasia, why record labels don’t really make sense, owning your Internet presence, and other stuff.
METRIC headlined the indoor portion of the WFNX CLAMBAKE, meaning they didn't go on until somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 am. But as the videos show, nobody seemed to mind too much. More video, photos, and audio below.

These guys again? Well, what can we say - it's been a hell of a year for PASSION PIT, and not to brag or anything, but we kind of saw it coming. Okay, fine, it wasn't exactly a difficult prediction to make: they won "Best New Act" in our Best Music Poll last year (earning themselves a spot in that year's concert), they became a blog sensation, and they packed venues around town all before their full-length debut, the delightful Manners, had even leaked in full.
