Meet the Mayor: Dorothy's Boutique

Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in their natural habitats.

Dorothy's Boutique
Nikki Depasquale Hansen

What are you being for Halloween this year?
If you're a gamer, especially if you're into Japanese games, you'll get it. I don't know if you've ever played Beautiful Katamari. I can't even explain what the game is. Not many people will get it, but I don't care.

What should I be for Halloween this year?
To go along with your profession, you should get a really large tape recorder, a visor, a cigarette holder, and shorts, and you'll be Hunter S. Thompson.

What should my dad be?
Who's your dad? I don't know what your dad looks like.

He looks like me, only balder and fatter.
Then he should be Dr. Gonzo.

So your birthday and Halloween are sorta close to the same day?
Yeah, we make a big to-do of it and throw a two-day party. This is the first time I've dressed up in 10 years.

Wait, Halloween is almost your birthday, and you haven't been costuming? BLASPHEMER!
I haven't dressed up since college, 'cause I don't know why. But we still have parties and go nuts with horror movies playing. So now I'm finally dressing up again. And I will never not dress up again.
