Robitaille Releases Ad

The gubernatorial ad war is heating up, with the election still two months off. Democrat Frank Caprio is taking independent Lincoln Chafee to task for a proposal that would impose a sales tax on exempt items like food and clothing. And now, Republican candidate John Robitaille has released a spot.

He hits the notes he needs to hit: career politicians have gotten us into this mess, and I'll lead us out. The only question is whether he can make the career politicians label stick. Chafee has certainly served many years in office, but most voters consider him Rhode Island's maverick. Even Caprio, out of the state legislature for several years now, has a sheen of the new.
