See this film: One Life @ the AMC Boston Common
Though One Life (2011)
offers the usual anthropomorphic wildlife-documentary narrative - baby animals and
their parents - spoken by a resonant, top-tier actor - Daniel Craig, in this instance - the cinematography is especially
striking, and the creatures and their survival tactics have to be seen to be
believed. Like the tiny cherry poison-dart frog carrying her tadpoles one by
one up a tree to deposit them in a water-filled leaf. Or the feudal order of
snow monkeys at a hot spring in the far north of Japan. It's full of surprises even
for those jaded by TV nature channels.
