See this film: The Wrecking Crew [with director in person] @ the Regent Theatre

A band that can play back-up to acts ranging from Bing Crosby to the Beach Boys must have some chops, which was certainly the case of the eponymous ensemble in The Wrecking Crew (2008). Directed by Denny Tedesco, son of Crew guitarist Tommy Tedesco, this documentary might have the most eclectic soundtrack since Woodstock (1969), boasting some of the many hits that the group played on, including "Be My Baby," "California Girls," "Strangers in the Night," "Mrs. Robinson," "You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin,'" and "Mr. Tambourine Man." The director will be on hand for a discussion after the screening at the Regent Theatre, 7 Medford St, Arlington | Thursday, December 15 @ 7 pm | $10; $15 includes signed poster | 781.646.4849 or regenttheatre.com.
