Democratic Primary Field Gets Crowded -- For 2014
We're still waiting for declarations of intent for the statewide Massachusetts race that's coming up immediately, but the new year has brought a flurry of public statements about the 2014 gubernatorial contest.
First, state treasurer Steve Grossman spoke the obvious in saying that he is leaning strongly toward running for governor.
Then yesterday State House News Service reported that health care big wig Donald Berwick of Newton is seriously pursuing a run.
Now Wicked Local has another health care veteran, Wellesley's Joseph C. Avellone, III, flat-out declaring himself in for that race.
And BTW, lieutenant governor Tim Murray did some big-time fundraising in December, presumably in pursuit of his campaign for the top office.
