Q&A #4: Patrick Appointment

 "John" asks on another angle of the potential US Senate special election:

Do you think Governor Patrick backtracks on his previous move and lets his Senate appointment run for the seat? (assuming of course Kerry is SoS)

My sense is no -- he will again appoint someone as a placeholder, who is not running in the special election.

But I wouldn't say that it's set in concrete.
