Ryan Zinke and his lovely wife Lola shared this with me; Ryan is the chairman of Special Operations for America, which is intended to fight against the current commander-in-chief, for reasons that I think will be obvious from the ad.

Zinke conceded to me that Mitt Romney was not necessarily his first choice, but "when Gingrich and Santorum left, it became Romney."

Zinke is very big on American exceptionalism; also, leadership and trust in government. "I've seen what happens when people don't trust government -- it's called Africa," Zinke says.
