Q&A #6: GOP In The State Lege
Enjoying Ask Me Anything Day? Keep the questions coming! Via email, "Bill in Plymouth" asks:
Do you think the Mass. GOP will be able increase
it's foothold in the House in 2012, and which, if any, incumbents of
either party do you see in danger of being ousted?
No. We're talking about the state house of representatives, right? (Must be; the MassGOP has no foothold in the US House.) No, this will be a cycle to desperately try to hold onto as many of the 33 seats as they can. They already lose at least one from redistricting (which led Paul Adams to run for state senate), and there are a bunch who narrowly won in 2010 who will have to fight to survive in a much more Democratic-favored turnout in the 2012 Presidential election.
