Hart, Chandler, Spilka Move Up

With Steve Tolman gone, Senate President Therese Murray unveiled changes to her leadership team today. Boston's own Jack Hart moves up to Assistant Majority Leader; Worcester's Hariette Chandler takes his place as Majority Whip; and Karen Spilka of Ashland gets Assistant Majority Whip.

Gale Canderas becomes chair of Economic Development, replacing Spilka. Katherine Clark replaces Canderas as Revenue Chair. And at the bottom of the pile, new senator William Brownsberger takes over Public Service from Clark.

I would love to read something into all of this about eventual succession to senate president, but I don't think there's anything in these tea leaves. Tell me if you think I'm missing something....
