New In The Phoenix -- Palin And The Conservative Marketplace
In this week's issue of the Boston Phoenix -- in print tomorrow, onlline now -- I have a cover story about how Sarah Palin will fit into the conservative marketplace.
As you may know, I am a devoted chronicler of today's conservative movement. For the past couple of months, I've been doing research for a potential in-depth article about what I call the conservative marketplace. That's the roughly 10 million to 20 million (maybe more) devout movement conservatives, around whom a lucrative industry has been maturing.
As I was working on this project, Palin announced that she will resign her office later this month. It made perfect sense to me: she is the hottest brand in conservative politics, and she needs to start actively promoting that brand in the conservative marketplace.
The resulting article is available for your perusal:
Sarah Inc. -- The biggest brand name in conservative politics is about to enter the burgeoning
right-wing marketplace — and she's perfect for it. Ka-ching!
