At-Large Candidates (And Me) Tuesday

Tomorrow -- Tuesday, June 23 -- the Ward 5 and Ward 4 Democratic Committees are hosting the first candidates forum for the Boston at-large race. I will be moderating.

It will take place at 7:00pm at the Community Church of Boston in Copley Square, 565 Boylston Street. There will be "meet-and-greet" time with the candidates from 6:30 to 7:00. Come on by!

Not only is this the first forum of the year -- for many of the candidates, running for office for the first time, it will be their first real coming-out on the public stage.

Now, if the city would do things my way, at the end of the forum the audience would get to vote off one candidate from the race. (The city could do one of these each week all year, either for at-large, or district councilor, or of course for mayor, to wind up with our winners by November.) That would get people interested in local politics!

At the least, I would make it ABBA theme week. Anyway, I hope to see you there!
