Menino 2.0

Tom Menino is TOTALLY into the high-tech, 21st century campaign stuff for his re-election. His web site went live today. He's also got an official Facebook site (a little slow-starting, with just a few dozen supporters -- make some calls, Passafaro!). And an official YouTube channel, where you can watch Bostonians telling their personal Menino-encounter tales.And a flickr page of photos. Oh, and of course he's totally on Twitter. Tom "Tweets" Menino, that's what they'll be calling him.

I jest, but it's all pretty good-looking stuff. The web site -- at first look at least -- is as good as, if not better than, his younger challengers', with individual pages for each neighborhood. (I know, it's easy to do this stuff well when you've got stacks of campaign money to throw around. Still.) Now, if only he had a Second Life avatar....
