Meet the Mayor: The Beehive
Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in their natural habitats.

The Beehive
Audrey Evans
I've never
actually been to the Beehive before. What's it like?
Man, I can't believe you haven't been here. It's been
here for three years. It's the who's who of the what's what of the South End,
and everywhere else. Where have you been?
. . . I
don't know!
Well, you've got to get out more. In there, you've got a
nice bar scene, live music seven nights a week, and a great brunch on Saturdays
and Sundays. What more can you ask for?
Are there
any actual bees involved?
No actual bees, but we could work up some B's. May not
be the B's you're thinking. But there's beer, bacon, and burgers. Those kinds
of B's.
None of
those things stings you.
No, not to sting you - although, if you walk in, you
might not walk out the same way. You may get stung by something, but it won't
be a bee.
Ever been
stung by a non-metaphorical or letter bee?
I can't say that I have. Although, speaking of stinging
and all that other good stuff, we did have Sting in here a couple of years ago.
He came in with his wife, and they had a lovely time, from what I hear.
