On the 30th anniversary of Bob Marley's death, it's only appropriate to ask -- are we ready to get 'Baked on Lansdowne Street?
WFNX Radio's annual Clambake fest was announced this morning on the Breakfast Show, and the lineup is all sorts of indie spectacular -- COLD WAR KIDS, BUFFALO TOM, DOM, FOSTER THE PEOPLE, THE NAKED AND FAMOUS, NOAH AND THE WHALE, YOUNG THE GIANT, and one more Boston heavyweight we'll reveal in the coming weeks. The party goes down on Lansdowne Street and the House of Blues on Thursday, June 16, 2011.
That's the afternoon after our first-ever Boston Music Poll awards party at the Brighton Music Hall, June 15, so expect a whole bunch of hungover Boston band dudes and ladies wandering around under the back of the green monster. In fact, between the Clambake and the free BMP party -- which we'll send out an invite to EVERYONE shortly -- it just might officially be DOM Week 2k11 for our favorite Central Massachusetts radicals. They could clean up at the BMPs and destroy Lansdowne. Who invited Worcester? We did, khed. Twice.
Anyway, tickets to the Clambake go on sale this weekend. It's $20 for the street show, and $29 for both street access and entry to the House of Blues (Cold War Kids, Buffalo Tom, Young the Giant). The whole jam is sponsored by Budweiser.
