New favorite jam alert! If you heard me ramble off the highlights of my rock and roll voyage to SXSW on WFNX this morning, you might have caught me giving an indie-rock tug-job to the UK's WOLF GANG. Caught them twice in Austin, first Friday at the Fader Fort by Fiat, and Saturday afternoon, as caught here on phlipcam, at Klub Krucial (the site of our First Contact party earlier in the week). In both instances, I was at the venue early to catch grit-pop future stars Brother, and both times I walked away with Wolf Gang songs sweetly lodged in my melon.
More on the fantastic Brother later -- who I also loved, because who doesn't love Oasis' Definitely Maybe? -- but in the meantime let's settle in with a band that has "WFNX romance" written all over it. Wolf Gang's Dancing With The Devil EP is out this week (Uh, I think...) and debut album Suego Faults gets the across-the-pond release treatment in June. It'll be a thing that becomes a thing, no doubt. Here's the regular album cut, and hell, while we're all getting acquainted, also peep the "Lions In Cages" video. Both excellent tracks.
