A few hours ago a simple tweet from Amanda Palmer suggested the once-unimaginable: the female half of the Dresden Dolls went and got married, to British author and boyfriend Neil Gaiman. The couple apparently tied the knot last night in Northern California.
"Hey guess what we did last night (and this time it's legal)," read Palmer's cutline to the ceremonial tweet, posted this afternoon alongside the above, uncredited twitpic'd photo. LA Weekly blogged that the "wedding occurred in Ayelet Waldman and Michael Chabon's 'parlour' ...a 1907 Craftsman house in the Elmwood section of Berkeley." Oh, gothalicious!
An hour or so after posting the photo, in which Palmer and Gaiman appear locked in a newlywed embrace, Palmer continued the tweetage with this juicy detail: "I wore the same wedding dress I used as a street performer for 5+ years. It was shredded...but it still worked."
