Review: The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence

Tom Six's version of a love train
By ALEXANDRA CAVALLO  |  October 13, 2011
2.5 2.5 Stars

Those who lost their cookies over "Two Girls, One Cup" should stay away from Tom Six's twisted follow-up to one of the sickest — and most ingenious — contributions to torture porn in some time. The scatological horror in number two is more graphic. Unfortunately, the novelty of the original — a surgeon stitches people together anus to mouth — is lost in this black-and-white sequel, leaving a mundanely grotesque slog through B-movie perversion. Ashlynn Yennie was somehow coerced into returning (at least now she gets to be in front) in this story of a mama's boy (whose father was put away for molesting him) named Martin who scrapbooks pictures from the first film like a girl drooling over Tiger Beat. Martin wants to make a 12 person 'pede and, god damn if he doesn't do it. But Martin lacks both the intensity and finesse of Dr. Heiter (he pieces his creature together with a staple gun!). The same can be said of Full Sequence.
