Schofield Is In
Tim Schofield told me a while back that he had decided not to run for the state senate seat being vacated by Steve Tolman -- but "upon further reflection," he tells me today, "I'm going to run."
Two state representatives, William Brownsberger of Belmont and Jonathan Hecht of Watertown, have already declared their candidacies.
Schofield says that the timing of the race -- a December 13 primary has been set -- and the issues involved have drawn him to take a closer look. Plus, he has received encouragement from the two Allston-Brighton state representatives, Brian Honan and Michael Moran.
Schofield has run for office unsuccessfully before -- including a special election won by Moran.
