Happy Anniversary!

Today the first legally wed same-sex couples celebrate their seventh anniversary. Congratulations!

Amazing, really, how little attention is paid to this date -- even the Bay Windows web site doesn't seem to have any prominent mention at the moment, and I haven't heard anything about either celebrations or protests. Not even an email statement in my inbox so far.

Geez, you'd think there'd at least be a funny take on all those gay spouses simultaneously experiencing the "seven-year itch."

Seven years on, the Massachusetts experiment hasn't swept the country, but it has moved into a few additional states -- and more importantly, appears to be in no imminent jeopardy of being stamped out here in the Commonwealth.
