GOP Women Watch -- Indiana Tomorrow
I've been keeping you informed on Republican women running for office this year, so I want to make you aware of one whose fate will be decided in an unusual manner tomorrow, Saturday, in Indiana.
This is the Indiana 3rd district, where the incumbent, Mark Souder, abruptly resigned (admitting infidelity) after winning his primary. A special caucus will choose a replacement Republican nominee tomorrow -- from a field of some 15 or 16 candidates, I can't even keep it straight.
One of those candidates is Fort Wayne City Councilwoman Liz Brown. She is considered a serious contender, although not one of the top two most likely. But, who knows how something like this can shake out.
It's a solid Republican district, so whoever emerges tomorrow will almost certainly be elected.
