Year End Lists
This week is the Boston Phoenix's Year In Review issue; I'll fill you in on my entry a little later when it's online. Meanwhile, there's plenty to check out on the web site, including a list of our 10 Most Popular Articles of 2009 -- only one of which was written by me (Palin Inc.). There are some terrific pieces on that list by my colleagues, so I recommend checking it out and reading any of the articles you missed when they first appeared.
Meanwhile, I see that Boston.com has a list up of top 10 local stories of the decade. I was recently asked on radio to name the biggest local political story of the decade, and I went with John Kerry's Presidential run in 2004, including the Democratic National Convention nominating him here in Boston. In retrospect -- and after I posed the question on Facebook -- I might go with gay marriage. Boston.com, however, snubs Kerry entirely. Granted, they're including non-political stories, but... was the casino debate really a bigger story? I don't think so.
