Early Retirement: Amanda Bynes clocks out

Child-turned-tween-turned-young adult actress Amanda Bynes recently dropped a flaming ball of WTF on the
film industry. Well, ok, it was probably more like a lukewarm marble of "ehhh." The actress, perhaps best known for her reprisal of Amanda on Nickelodeon's SNICK (which was, to be honest, quite awesome in its day) and The Amanda Show announced her retirement from show biz. Bynes made her big decision public, predictably, on Twitter. The 24-year-old broke the news to her fans through a series of tweets that lamented that, throughout her short career, she was only given the chance to behave "like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play." Not for nothing, but isn't that called....acting? Bynes remained level-headed about her premature departure from a career that brought the world such box office gold as What a Girl Wants (co-starring an unfortunately cast Colin Firth,) tweeting "If I dont love something anymore, I stop doing it." And while the world will sorely miss the starlet, the most interesting news was, perhaps, the tweet Bynes fired off a couple of hours before the big announcement: "I like black men I'm very attracted to them just fyi." So there's that. FYI, Amanda, thanks for the memories.
