[halloween] Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys' Squidhouse of Horror + Darling Pet Munkee record release party @ BMH
If the whole Halloween Cover Show circuit isn’t your bag, then the only man you should be spending October 31 with is WALTER “Every Day Is Halloween” SICKERT. The steampunk shamen brings his Army of Broken Toys to Brighton Music Hall in the land of broken children -- also known around town simply as "Allston" -- for a night dubbed as “super villainous sugar-fueled masquerade music mayhem.”
The party's official title is the Squidhouse of Horror and it's spectacular lineups also features host Johnny Blazes and mu-sick by XNY, Moe Pope -- who just dropped a killer music video shot at a pre-burned-out TCs Lounge -- and DARLING PET MUNKEE, the spooky Franken-trio comprised of Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling's Michael J. Epstein and Sophia Cacciola as well as Catherine Capozzi of Axemunkee. One makes up the head, the other makes up the body, and the other makes up the tail. We just don't know which.
The DPM is releasing their new record, You Better Believe It!, and you can score a sneak-creep preview via their bandcamp. We're already a fan of the chicken noises in opening track "Hypno-Coin;" Epstein's voice has truly come a long way since the days of the Motion Sick.
