[tuesday night] Lansdowne Pub party postponed; WFNX re-launch shifts to online celebration
Hey WFNX listeners and party people,
Hurricane Sandy might be able to wreak havoc on our party, but it can’t crush the spirit of our re-launch. We’ve decided to postpone tomorrow night’s event at the Lansdowne Pub in Boston, but you can still be a part of the long-awaited WFNX resurrection -- join us online at wfnx.net at 9pm for a live broadcast party straight from our new studio in the Phoenix newsroom. We'll return to the Lansdowne Pub under clearer skies in a few short weeks, but in the meantime, we are still re-launching WFNX.com tomorrow at midnight.
All of our DJs -- Kurt St Thomas, Mike Gioscia, Sabrina Boyd, Michael Marotta, and even DJ 3001 -- will be in the house, chatting online, and live on the air; and fast-rising Boston indie rock quartet the Field Effect will drop by for a special acoustic set (sings guitarist/vocalist Doug Orey in the band's former Phoenix Mp3 of the Week, "Ogunquit, ME": "I fell for you like rain." Very appropriate.). We’ll be giving away re-launch t-shirts and others prizes via our social media pages, set up a live Ustream for look-ins into the studio, and have some other cool surprises in store.
It all leads up to midnight when we officially flip the switch on a new era of WFNX and truly come back from the dead. Now you can party with us while wearing your footie pajamas. We won’t judge.
