Tomorrow night in Cambridge: a tribute to Gil Scott-Heron & political prisoners



Tomorrow night in Cambridge, an event at the Middle East Downstairs will raise funds to benefit the struggle to free US political prisoners. Organized by Jericho New England, the show is a musical tribute to Gil Scott-Heron.

Performers include Gil Scott-Heron's own MIDNIGHT BAND, plus FOUNDATION MOVEMENT, SPIRITCHILD, local riot-folk singer EVAN GREER (recently featured in the Phoenix's Queer issue), NATURAL BLISS, and NOT4PROPHET.

The show will also feature speakers, former political prisoners Pam Africa, Ray Lavasseur, Dhoruba Bin-Wahad, and Kazi Toure.
