[phlipcam video] Banditas @ the Plough & Stars
Hey, it's Banditas! After making the rounds last night along the usual Central Square dance party spots -- Vigil @ Middlesex, Release @ Enormous Room, Penguin Club @ ZuZu -- a friend suggested we sashay up Mass Ave like fancy young things hankerin for some live music and check out the lo-fi Americana twang of Banditas.
The Cambridge-based trio, performing tonight as a quartet, were knee-deep into Night 3 of their four-week residency at the Plough & Stars and drew a nice-sized crowd. Missed out? Check the scrappy bar-leaning, screwdriver-fueled Flipcam video above, and swing back around the bend on Wednesday, Sept. 22 as Banditas wrap up the residency alongside the Andrea Gillis Band, Apple Betty and Providence's Volcano Kings. There is no cover, and we believe things get kickin' around 10pm. "Buffalo sharimp," off the Plough menu, is an early-on dining option.
