    "Beastie Boys at the Best Music Poll: Right before Check Your Head came out, I booked the Beasties to play. The Bosstones opened the show. I have never seen a pit like this before. The roof felt like it was going to blow off of Avalon. The band was amazing. I was hanging in the upper loft part above the stage, watching the bodies fly off the stage.

AMANDA PALMER of the Dresden Dolls pulls out a ukulele and sings a version of Radiohead’s “Creep” during her set and unveils new tunes from the (now-released) Who Killed Amanda Palmer? DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE plays for keeps, and frontman Ben Gibbard salutes the chilly crowd, saying, “You guys are troupers!”
