Meet the Mayor: Public Storage – Self Storage
Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in
their natural habitats.
Public Storage - Self Storage
Christian Campagna
So why are you mayor at
this here storage locker?
I just moved into a new place a couple of months ago, and
it's been slow moving my stuff in there. I don't have any shelves there yet, and
I don't know if my girlfriend wants 4,000 jazz CDs in our apartment.
Do you think, if
worse came to worse, a person could live here?
Yeah, I could, probably. I could probably lay down right
there and get comfortable. I've got a towel and a couple of jackets. There's a
footstool that was my grandmother's. I could use that.
Favorite and least
favorite things you're storing?
My least favorite might be this printer/scanner. It's one of
those items where there's nothing aesthetically pleasing about it at all. My
favorite things are...I have some rare punk albums in here. I'm aging myself, but
this is probably my favorite thing in here - Henry Rollins, Dischord #2. [gestures
to a copy of S.O.A.'s No Policy EP]
Whoa. Where'd you get
that?
I got it at a record show for like $50 years ago. There're
only 500 of them, I think.
