Meet the Mayor: Brattle Theatre
Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in
their natural habitats.
Brattle Theatre
Adam Shalvey
How did you
become the mayor here?
I'm a volunteer. I come once a week to tear tickets, and
I get to see all the movies I want.
I came here when
they showed the Lost finale a few
years ago, but I can't talk about it without getting into spoilers.
Well, you can spoil Lost.
I'm never going to watch it, to get that out in the open. But I like a fair
amount of spoilers. If someone's writing a film review, I don't have any
problem if they write a couple of minor spoilers. What I don't like is when
you're reading something and someone just throws in "Spoiler Alert." If I
could, I'd get rid of that phrase altogether.
I dunno. I like
being able to avoid ruining the endings of stuff for myself.
In theory, spoiler alerts are useful things. But I've
never read "spoiler alert" and not read what came after it, or not listened to
what someone was saying.
Would you like to
spoil something for us right now?
Well, I can tell you that Brother Mouzone and Omar
definitely kill "Stringer" Bell.
