Meet the Mayor: Gold's Gym
Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in
their natural habitats.
Gold's Gym
Ellen Harfenist
Staying in shape is
fine, but isn't it better to become grotesquely fat?
I think the process would be great: eating a lot and being
lazy. But you probably wouldn't feel good about yourself.
Mac from Always Sunny got fat to be funnier. So
fat people are funnier? Funny people feel good about themselves ...
Drew Carey was never funny, but he's like a pencil now. John
Goodman's getting skinnier. I've seen Lenny Clarke's Weight Watchers
commercial. Your theory seems flawed.
You're right. Kevin
James isn't funny, either.
He's still fat and very funny.
... y'think?
Of course. The King of Queens is a great show, although
I've never seen his stand-up. I used to be really fat. Like, really fat. I lost about 90 pounds. I
used to be hilarious, and I'm just ... not anymore.
There is no good reason
to run, unless something is chasing you. Agree?
I don't think I've ever been in that predicament. I had to
run after someone who stole my car once. I saw him get in my car and take off.
Did you catch him?
Unfortunately, I can't run 25 miles per hour. But I've never
been chased. I'm usually the chaser.
