What global warming? dept: Frog Pond ice-skating postponed due to warm weather

This just in: MAYOR TOM MENINO was supposed to help open the Frog Pond to ice skating on Friday. The city has just announced: not gonna happen.

Why?

Too warm.

From the press release:

Due to the uncertainty of the weather the Frog Pond announced today that they are cancelling the Opening Ceremonies with the Mayor and the Skating Spectacular scheduled for this Friday, November 18th.  The Skating Spectacular will now be held in conjunction with the December 1st Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:00 pm.  The Frog Pond will be making every effort to still open the rink for skating by this Friday, and will post the latest status updates on our Facebook and Twitter sites as well as at www.bostonfrogpond.com.
