Celebrities join Boston Phoenix in endorsing Obama

Yes we can. Except for Ed Kowalczyk. No, dude: you can't.

Will I. Am has not been noted for his political activism [although remind us someday to post our unpublished essay on how "I Got It From My Mama (Genetics)," pop's first ode to Darwinism, was an early salvo in the upcoming election-year culture wars], but we'll admit that we got a little goosebumpy listening to his Obama song -- sort of like the first time we heard "My Humps," only with a better supporting cast. (Click above for the video.)

Black Eyed Peas, Scarlett Johannson, John Legend, Nicole Scherzinger, and Aisha Tyler are just a few of the celebs hopping aboard the Obama express: of course, we'd like to think our endorsement played a small part. Although he can't sing like Taryn Manning, here's the Phoenix's Peter Kadzis telling FNX what's really good about Barack (mp3, right-click, save-as).

Also: Obama's big "Stand for Change" rally tonight at the Seaport Hotel with The Three Musketeers (Kennedy, Kerry, and Duval) -- free and open, but also first-come, first-served, so get there early.

Also: Hands Across the MassAve Bridge, today at 3:30. Hurry!
