[Rec] (2007), the splashy Spanish zombie film remade by Hollywood into the more tepid Quarantine (2008), has itself generated sequels. A bit campier than the previous two [Rec]s, it nonetheless boasts a scene with a newlywed in a gown wielding a chainsaw, and an appearance by SpongeBob SquarePants. See it at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, 290 Harvard Ave, Brookline | Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8 at midnight | $9 | 617.734.2501 or
