See this film: They Call It Myanmar @ Kendall Square
Next to North Korea, Myanmar , a/k/a Burma, might be
the longest lasting, most isolated dictatorships in the world. Shot covertly
over three years, Robert H. Lieberman's documentary They
Call It Myanmar provides an up-to-date portrait of the country, and
includes an in-depth interview with activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung
San Suu Kyi, newly released from house arrest as part of the government's
recent effort at reforms. The film will be followed by a Q&A with producer
Deborah C. Hoard. It screens Monday, March 12 and Tuesday, March 13 at the Kendall Square
