Attend this film program: "Cinematheque: An Evening With Joe Swanberg" @ BU
Those filmmakers categorized as such really don't like the term
"mumble core," but when you're making films called The Puffy Chair you can
hardly complain. Whatever the title or the term, Joe Swanberg remains one of
the brightest, most innovative, and most prolific of independent directors, and
he will be presenting his recent film Silver Bullets (2011) - described as a "formally
stylish, almost Bergmanesque exercise in werewolf lore" - at An Evening With Joe
Swanberg, part of Phoenix film critic Gerald Peary's Cinematheque series at
Boston University. It takes place at the Boston University College of
Communication, 640 Comm. Ave, Room 101 | Friday, February 10 @ 7 pm | Free | 617.353.3483 or bu.edu/com/academics/film-tv/cinematheque
