Attend this film fest: Iranian Film Festival @ the MFA
Good Bye
Though imprisoned for so-called crimes against the state,
Iranian directors Jafar Panahi and Mohammad Rasoulof somehow managed to make
features and smuggle them out to the West. Both of these films can be seen in
the MFA's Iranian
Film Festival, which today is screening Rasoulof''s Good Bye. It's a drama
about a woman who ponders leaving the country after she is banned by the
government from practicing law. Any resemblance to the plight of certain
Iranian filmmakers is purely coincidental. That's at the Museum of Fine Arts,
465 Huntington Ave, Boston | Friday, January 27 @ 7:45 pm | $11; $9 students,
seniors | 617.369.3907 or mfa.org.
