See this film: Oxy-Morons @ Royale (with cocktail reception + Q&A)
Forget The Town. Local drug dealer
turned recovered addict and filmmaker Johnny Hickey's violent cautionary tale Oxy-Morons is about as compelling - and
disturbing - a portrayal of the meaner streets of Charlestown as we've seen in a while. The
film, based on Hickey's real life experiences, screens tonight at Royale,
preceded by a cocktail hour and Q&A with Hickey and our own Chris
Faraone (whose feature about Hickey "The Secret Life of a Charlestown
Drug Dealer" ran in the Phoenix this past February.) Stick around for an after-party
post-film (cocktail attire required) on Saturday, November 5 @ Royale, 279 Tremont St, Boston
| doors @ 6:30; Q&A @ 7:30 pm; screening @ 8 pm | $5 | ticketfly.com.
