See this film: True Romance @fter midnight at the Coolidge
Tony Scott may
have directed it, but True Romance (1993) might be
Quentin Tarantino's best movie. He wrote the screenplay about a dorky guy, not
unlike himself, who falls in love with a hip sex worker, grabs a suitcase full
of cocaine, and takes on all comers. Sounds dumb, but it glints with brilliant,
hilarious dialogue. Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette star, and Dennis
Hopper as the hero's dad has a scene with Christopher Walken that's equaled
only by the one in which he wears the gas mask in Blue Velvet. The Coolidge is at 290 Harvard St, Brookline
