See this film fest: All Things Horror presents Shudderfest @ the Somerville Theatre
As we close in on Halloween, the All Things Horror folks are getting an
early start with Shudderfest. Tonight's double bill includes Evan Kelly's The Corridor (2010; 7:30 pm), in which a group of young
friends take a path in the forest that brings them to a horrible doom. Paired
with it is Mike Flanagan's Absentia (2011; 10 pm), in which a couple of sisters
enter a mysterious tunnel and don't make out much better than the kids in The Corridor. Also featured is a program of shorts by
rising star Devi Snively, whose black-comic approach to pulpy horror has been
compared in style to the old EC comics.
