Dedicated to increasing multicultural awareness through the power of cinema, the brand new Arlington International Film Festival runs October 6-9 at the Regent Theatre, screening 15 features from around the world as well as numerous shorts. A panel discussion with Makepeace and Baird takes place after the screening, followed by a reception at the Tango Restaurant at 464 Massachusetts Ave in Arlington Center. The Regent screenings are at 7 Medford Street, Arlington | Thursday, October 6 @ 7:30 pm | $10; $35 festival pass | 857.209.1122 or aiffest.org.
