All About Eve (1950)

This year's Coolidge Award goes to "Film Preservation," and the two days of ceremonies will climax with a prime example of that noble work, a screening of the restored version of All About Eve (Wed @ 8 pm)- now, despite her quips about aging, Bette Davis's Margo Channing will remain as fresh and vivid as when Joseph L. Mankiewicz made the film in 1950. There's also, on Tuesday, a screening of the film-preservation documentary These Amazing Shadows (Tues @ 7 pm) and, on Wednesday, a panel discussion on "Film Restoration and Access in the Digital Age."
