Boston Accents 11.13.12: BMAs Maven's Choice with Fat Creeps, Mellow Bravo & Bearstronaut + Eddie Japan, RM Hendrix

VIVA VIVA “Dead In Yr Tracks” -- Lead track off recent EP of the same night, the garage rock band up for Live Act of the Year in the 2012 Boston Music Awards plays the Middle East on November 27 to benefit the Prince Children's Education Fund. Jessica Prouty Band and Flat Swamp are aloso on the bill.

FAT CREEPS “Leave Her Alone” -- The second BMAs pre-party hits Redstar in Kendall Square, Cambridge, tonight, and it's Maven's Choice, where three media tastemakers pick one artist and pimp them out in front of a really cool LED screen. My pick, is Fat Creeps, and you can watch the livestream here.

MELLOW BRAVO “Where The Bodies Lay” -- Jed Gottlieb of the Boston Herald has selected the rock and roll machine known as Mello Bravo, who are up for Metal/Hardcore Act of the Year. Check the killer video.

BEARSTRONAUT “Painted In The Dark” -- And Luke O'Neil of Put That Shit On The List tabbed dance-pop quartet Bearstronaut, who release a new EP tomorrow night at TTs. [Full disclosure warning: their new record, and their old record, is out on my label. But you knew that.]

GRAND RESORT “Microscopic” -- Pardon my rant about Andres Pichardo moving from Brookline to Brooklyn earlier this year. We miss him. Grand Resort's Vanguard Dreams is out now on Amazon, as of yesterday.

ORCA ORCA “Say So” -- Playing TTs a week from tonight on a bill with Orlando's Saskatchewan, and Boston's Soft Pyramids and ABADABAD. I smell Show Spotlight early next week sometime.

RM HENDRIX “Summer Dresses (Ivorine & Chai) -- Solo Cambridge dude who makes rad noisy pop has a new track out this week -- "Last Week’s Hopes Are Playing Through The Wall" -- but I'm still feeling this reworked track from earlier this year.

DAILY PRAVDA “Dead House” -- Featuring some of my favorite lyrics ever -- "I'm cleaning toilets mopping restroom/While you wink your way into a cab/It's more than I can stand." Pravda performs this Saturday at the Lizard Lounge with Gene Dante & the Future Starlets for...

EDDIE JAPAN “You Will Find Me Dead In My Comfort Zone” -- ... the Eddie Japan record release party for Modern Desperation, Part 1. Check out Jonathan Donaldson's awesome Cellars column on EJ in Thursday's Phoenix. Are they spies? Flyer below.

THE LUXURY “Why Don’t You Cry Anymore?" -- Playing a free show at Royale on Saturday as part of Hostelling International USA's conference, and it kicks off around 8pm, leaving enough time for Eddie over atthe Liz.

PARKS “Sweater Weather” -- New band led by ex-Oranjuly frontman/songwriter Brian E. King, playing Friday at TTs with Dear Leader. This sweet jangle pop jam will be Thursday's Boston Accents Song of the Day. Tune in.

SPIRIT KID “Wrong Kind Of Money” -- Felt like this would have gone well with the new Parks track, and still got Emeen's sweet voice in my head after seeing them live last week at Redstar.

TAXPAYER “We Have Arrived” -- Too recent to be our Throwback Track of the Day? An old fave
