Election Day is in the rearview, and hey -- good job, America. But here in our fair city the ballots breathe on, and the polls for the 2012 BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS are still open for band business. This year's BMAs go down Sunday, December 2 at the swank-ass Liberty Hotel, and once again, BOSTON ACCENTS will be on the scene, on the floor, in the halls, in the elevators -- and in a guest room high above the music scene circle-jerking debauchery.
For the second year in a row we'll be getting a guest room at the Lib and throwing a WFNX party, bringing some of the nominated bands up to our beds (oooh!) and recording interviews and segments straight from the well-lit bathroom. Last year was a blast; Earthquake Party, Young Adults, Marissa Nadler, Freezepop, Mean Creek, Girlfriends/Bent Shapes, and Big Digits all came up to our party and got nutty with us in the tub. This year should be no different.
As an added bonus, BMAs executive producer JAKE BRENNAN will be my guest on Boston Accents on Thursday, November 15, talking shop and breaking down the night's events, from awards to performers to nominees.
