Mister Jason + His Posse Mark “Son of Frankensteez” Release With Halloween Mash at Church

I just got off the horn with the Frankensteez crew, which was riding out the Frankenstorm, watching Frankenweenie, eating franks and beans, with close ally Frank White butchering some vinyl in the background. It turns out that Mister Jason and his posse are returning to Church tomorrow night for their second annual fright night and hip-hop masquerade party.

For those who missed it last year, Porn Theatre Ushers producer Mister Jason returned big with Frankensteez, a full-length collaboration with countless affiliates. To butter his eclectic spread, the project featured contributions from underground rap's most exalted – a feat highlighted on “Mister Jason Has A Posse!,” which packs 26 verses from an A-to-Z line-up of MCs.

This Halloween, Jason returns with a follow-up 11-track EP, Son of Frankensteez, that's available right now on limited edition green vinyl. You'll still have to cop the original for gems like “Black Angel,” but the new joint packs heaters including “Mister Jason Has A Posse!,” as well as remixes by DJ Format, The Herbaliser, and J-Zone.

For his October 31 festivities, Jason will be joined by J-Zone plus all sorts of characters from his Frankensteez crew – Frank White, Nabo Rawk, you name it. And if it's true fright you're looking for, there's also a rumor that General Stoor might show, though it's unclear whether Homeland Security will release him back into the population in time for the party.
