[On and on and on and on] Mean Creek cover the Replacements, last night @ Paradise

Last week during the second night of the Boston Accents Funeral Party at Great Scott, indie darlings MEAN CREEK performed a rare cover, a rousing take on the Replacements' 1985 classic, "Left Of The Dial." We were all so crunked in the moment that we didn't capture any footage of it (we did plan ahead enough to assign a photographer to shoot the party), but last night the band busted it out for a second time at the Paradise Rock Club. It demanded an encore performance.

Thankfully, Richard Bouchard of essential music blog Boston Band Crush was on-hand and scored this recording, posted above.

The 'Creek are currently on tour with surprisingly still-well-received '90s dudes Our Lady Peace, and hit up New York's Irving Plaza tomorrow night. Their long-awaited new full-length, Youth Companion, is released October 16 off Old Flame Records, so while we sit patiently for all that, here are the rest of their OLP dates...
