[free show] Wolf Gang + Animal Talk, Saturday July 7 @ Brighton Music Hall
This show is straight up beastly! The WFNX Alternatour goes deep into the synth-rock wilderness Saturday night at Brighton Music Hall in Allston as we've paired up Boston's post-dance-rock lads ANIMAL TALK with one of the UK's rising pop stars, the Killers-esque symphonic rock of WOLF GANG.
We've been BFFs with the polished sounds of Animal Talk ever since we included them in our Class of 2012 feature back in January, and the quartet just got back from a successful run of shows at NXNE in Toronto (where "post dance rock" is totally a thing and spreading faster than false Zach Parise rumors). Then, a few months ago, under Coachella's blazing sun, we fell smitten with Max McElligott's uncanny resemblance to the late Patrick Swayze (We miss you, Dalton!) and the engaging pop acumen of his sterling Wolf Gang tracks "Lions In Cages" and "The King And All Of His Men."
It's a pretty solid pairing for a summer Saturday in July, and the show is FREE to attend. All you have to do is RSVP over at WFNX.com.
Here's Wolf Gang performing their hits, both off at year's excellent Suego Faults record, live and unplugged in the kitchen of the WFNX Sapporo House back in April.
