JAPANESE MONSTER | Church | January 8 | July's glossy Bleeps Sweeps Creeps EP gets the re-boot treatment, re-released with two new tracks via a USB drive with enough fancy packaging to scare off Mothra. A project with roots in J/Q, the Living Sea, and the Divorced, Japanese Monster's retro-now synth attack is more than a new(er) wave — it's an electronic tsunami across the dance floor. Be sure to roll up early for the Fat Creeps, a young trio that's had hypnotic debut track "Nancy Drew" embedded in the Boston Accents playlist.
